Meet Our Staff

We strive to provide leadership that equips our faith community to live active lives of faith and service.

Pastor Todd Hawkins

Pastor Todd Hawkins loves Jesus and loves Christ's church. He believes that nothing in all creation (especially no person) is outside of Christ's loving redemption. By grace we have been saved, and by grace we live together day to day. Todd, a Colorado resident for nearly 20 years, also serves Prince of Peace Lutheran in Denver, is loosely affiliated with First Lutheran in Longmont (where he lives), and has served other congregations in Denver and Minnesota (where he's from). He was a newspaper reporter for a decade prior to his graduation from Luther Seminar in 2002. He shares his life with Alice, his black lab, who at times keeps him company around church. Todd is a widower and the father of a wonderful and talented college student. In his spare time, he follows the news, reads, listens to music and plays guitar. Music helps keep his sanity in a world that sometimes misses out on creative arts.

Pastor Ron Hartman

Pastor Ron Hartman is a retired educator who in his retirement went to Gettysburg Seminary and then served a congregation in northeast Pennsylvania. In his second retirement, he served as interim pastor to a congregation in Georgetown, SC.

Pastor Ron and his wife moved to Centennial during Covid to be near their daughter, son-in-law and two wonderful grandchildren.

Pastor Mark Will

Pastor Mark Will is now in his 49th year as an ordained pastor. He has served congregations in Northeast Montana, Southern California and half of his career in Alaska. While in Alaska he also taught for the University of Alaska system. For the past nine years, he has done pulpit supply at congregations in Colorado, Wyoming, and California. Pastor Mark and Kathleen have been married for 49 years, and have three children and six grandchildren.

Rick Mezey, Music Director

Rick Mezey has served the music ministry at Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit as organist since August 2001 and as organist and choirmaster since August 2004.

He earned his bachelor's degree in music education from the Eastman School of Music and his master's degree in music education from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Rick has been singing since he was three years old.  Music allows him to focus fully on worshiping God.
